Leeat Motor from Vietnam has transformed a Bajaj
Pulsar NS200 to like a Kawasaki Z1000. The modified Pulsar NS200 is inspired by
its styling and bodywork from Kawasaki Z1000. At initial glance, it's hard to
even identify the modified motorcycle until and unless you're taking a better
look and recognize the Pulsar NS200 engine and therefore the perimeter frame.
Talking about the change, especially, the motorcycle gets a dual projector
headlamp setup and an LED daytime running lamp. A visor inspired by Z1000 is
found in the front. Besides the new front face, the motorcycle modified its
stock tank for a more muscular and edgy fuel tank unit with yellow and black
coloring. The custom motorcycle features a belly pan which gives muscular
appeal and also protects the engine. The seat is also replaced with a split
seat setup.
The rear profile also received some major
changes. The modified Bajaj Pulsar NS200
features a custom body panel at the rear which looks tons sharper than the
original unit. At the rear, we also found a LED taillamp that goes well with
the theme of the motorcycle. The exhaust of the motorcycle has been replaced
with a free-flow one. But the suspension unit did not take any changes made, it
features telescopic front forks and a mono-shock at the rear.
There are no other mechanical changes made apart from
these cosmetic changes to the modified Pulsar NS200. It's still powered by
199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, matted with a six-speed engine that
produces the peak torque of 17.5 Kw at 9500 rpm and peak torque of 18.3 Nm at
8000 rpm.
Currently, Bajaj has updated the Pulsar NS200 to
comply with BS6 norms. The updated Pulsar NS200 is powered by 199.5cc, liquid
cooled, single cylinder, 4 stroke, 3 spark, SOHC, 4v and fuel injected engine
that makes the max power of 18 Kw at 9750 rpm and peak torque of 18.5 Nm at
8000 rpm. Braking duties are handled by 300mm petal disc with ABS at front and
230mm disc at the rear. The BS6 Bajaj
Pulsar NS200 is priced at Rs. 1,25,000 ex-showroom, Delhi.
