2019 KTM RC 125 VS 2019 YAMAHA R15 V3.0 ABS:
KTM RC 125 is an exact replica of the 200cc racer from the brand, swapping the engine with a much smaller unit with capabilities. RC 125 is an entry level bike with stylish looks and power packed performance. The design has been inspired by the KTM RC16, which is the company's moto GP machine and similar to the elder siblings KTM RC 390 and KTM RC 200.
The Yamaha R V3.0 has been a consistent sales performer for India Yamaha and with standard dual channel ABS now it is still a very good option. The new generation R15 got significantly updated last year, with some cosmetic changes and more importantly with a bigger and more powerful engine. The styling is inspired by the liter class Yamaha YZF R1, the R15 V3 does look sharper than before.

Features:
KTM RC 125 features like twin projector head light and LED tail light, digital instrument console, triple clamp handle bars, split seat and under belly exhaust.
Yamaha R15 V3.0 features like LED head and tail lamps, clip on handle bars, split seat, digital instrument panel and rear tyre huger.
Engine:
KTM RC 125 uses the 124.7cc, single cylinder, 4 valve, DOHC layout, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine that offers the max. power of 14.5 PS at 9250rpm and peak torque of 12Nm at 8000rpm.
Yamaha R15 V3.0 powered by 155cc, single cylinder, 4 valve, liquid cooled, VVA technology, Assist and slipper clutch, SOHC layout and fuel injected engine which produces the 19.3 PS power at 10,000rpm and 14.7 Nm peak torque at 8500rpm.
R15 V3.0 ABS is having 30.3cc more capacity engine and produces the 4.8 PS more power and 2.7 Nm more torque than RC125.
At the end both machines are matted with 6 speed gearbox.
Brakes:
Braking duties are carried out in KTM RC 125 via 300mm Disc at front and 230mm Disc at rear compared to 282mm Disc at front and 220m Disc at rear of Yamaha R15V3.0.
KTM RC 125 gets single channel ABS whereas R15 V3 gets dual channel ABS as a standard.
Suspension & Tyres:
At front KTM RC125 is having USD telescopic suspension and at rear 10 step adjustable mono suspension. Yamaha R15V3 is comes with telescopic suspension at front and swing-arm type mono at rear.
In terms of tyres KTM RC 125 is fitted with 110/70-17" tubeless at front and 150/60-17" tubeless at rear compared to 100/80-17" tubeless at front and 140/70-17" tubeless at rear of Yamaha R15 V3.0.
Fuel tank & weight:
The fuel tank capacity of KTM RC 125 at 9.5 L and 154.2 Kg in kerb weight. Yamaha R15 V3.0 is larger fuel thank than RC125 stands at 11 L and lighter in weight at 142 Kg.
Dimensions:
The overall dimensions of KTM RC 125 is 1977mm in length, 688mm in width and 1090mm in height. Yamaha R15 V3.0 is longer than RC 125 stands at 1990mm. It is wider stands at 725mm and taller than RC125 stands at 1135mm.
KTM RC 125 is marginally longer in wheelbase stands at 1341mm compared to 1325mm of R15v3.0.
KTM RC 125 gets higher seat height at 835mm compared to 815mm of Yamaha R15 V3.0.
Yamaha R15V3.0 gets higher ground clearance at 160mm compared to 157mm of KTM RC125.

KTM RC 125 is priced at 1.47 Lakhs ex-showroom and Yamaha R15 V3.0 ABS is priced at 1.40 Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.
